Happy Memorial Day

I hope that we Americans have spent, at least some time today, reflecting on the huge sacrifices that have bee made from 1776 to the present- to ensure that we can have and enjoy the freedoms that we have as Americans. How do you show your appreciation for the ultimate sacrifice that a fallen son or daughter has made to guarantee your freedom to his or her lost mother? Father? Brother? Sister?

The Founding Fathers were right: Freedom isn't free. It is paid for in blood and honor and sometimes the ultimate sacrifice: the giving of one's life for his or her country and it's citizens.

Thank God for the countless men and women in our country's history that loved freedom enough that they were willing to lay their lives down for it.

Far left loons like: Move On.org, ACLU, Code Pink, Cindy Sheehan owe their freedom to spew their anti-American screeds to those men and women in our past and present who died to give them their freedom of speech along with the rest of their freedoms.

I recognize my debt to these military heroes in our past and today for my freedoms and the awesome priviledge to be able to call myself an American.

God bless America's fallen heroes of freedom. Without them, the amazingly brilliant Democratic Republic that our Founding Fathers gave to us would have evaporated before it even got started or wouldn't have lasted as long as it has.

Armed Forces Day

To all of the women and men of our Armed Forces, whether they are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, or elsewhere, or back home providing back support; My hat is off to you and you have my deepest respect! Without your selfless dedication to duty to our great nation, we would not be free.

Liberty is everything! To say "thank you" is nowhere near enough. My prayers are with you all and your families. Thanks for all you do day in and day out. You aren't forgotten despite the American Media's silence.

Tea Party Wisdom

Tonight, I watched a re-run of Friday's Glen Beck show on the Fox News Network. Apart from the value of hearing from "real Americans", and apart from the media and politicians, I am pleased to share the following two tidbits.

There was a person on the show that is scheduled to be on Glen Beck's program on Monday night, (whose name escapes me, I apologize), who made the following statement:
This is the first time in my life that I have witnessed people like those in this audience who really understand the Founding Fathers' case. If, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson were in the audience tonight, they would immediately recognize the people that were worth fighting for in the Revolutionary War. If they were also, allowed to witness our modern day media, they would instantly recognize in them, the very people they were fighting against. [this is a paraphrase of course.]

Later in the same program, Judge Neopalitano, quoted Thomas Jefferson, (another great moment which goes along the lines:) When the people are in fear of the government, that's tyranny. When the government is in fear of the people, that's liberty.

I find these two examples invigorating!
