Iraq Study Panel: America Is Nothing But A Losing Paper Tiger!
The Iraq Study Panel co-chaired by James A. Baker III, and Lee Hamilton released their findings to President Bush today. They have come to the conclusion that we are losing the war in Iraq and must begin withdrawing our troops and establish diplomatic relations with Iran and Syria to try and stabilize Iraq with their help and guidance. You can read about the panel’s report in a story found here.
Of course it hasn’t taken long for the Democrats to chime in:
“"If the president is serious about the need for change in Iraq, he will find Democrats ready to work with him in a bipartisan fashion to find a way to end the war as quickly as possible," said Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the California Democrat who is in line to become speaker when the new Congress convenes in January.
"The president has the ball in his court now ... and we're going to be watching very closely," said Harry Reid, the Nevada Democrat who will take over as Senate majority leader in January.”
In other words, Democrats will cooperate with our nation’s war in Iraq, our War on Terror, when appeasement is finally an option. The American people are about to discover just how bad of a mistake it was to vote the Democrats back into power. The Republicans were certainly not doing what they promised, but the Democrats are dangerous.
If, God forbid, the Bush Administration lets the recommendations of this panel influence what we do in Iraq all hell well break loose and we will be sending the following messages:
1. To Osama Bin Laden, al Qaeda, and Islamo-Facist terrorists everywhere: America is nothing more than a “paper tiger”, your patience has paid off. You have won. When the going gets tough, Americans will always turn and run. These messages will no doubt embolden them further, and the mass carnage that will rush into fill the vacuum we leave in Iraq, will result in Iraq becoming nothing more than an Islamo-Facist state. There will be no freedom for its citizens.
2. To the airman, marines, solders and sailors of the US Military: America will always never hesitate in risking your lives for a mission that we will then readily abandon when it gets tough, making your sacrifices for the mission, your country, and those you are fighting to liberate be nothing more than in vein. Our military have sacrificed beyond words these last four years. Life and limb has been given. Families have been separated by the long amounts of tour of duty time. Fathers have missed milestones in their children’s growth yet, have proudly re-enlisted. This panel would make all of that meaningless with their cowardly cut and run policy.
3. To the people of Iraq and its military: Once again, America is abandoning you again to brutal torture and slaughter. America can never be trusted to come to your aid when your liberty is threatened. Those Iraqis who have come to look upon America favorably will grow to despise us. There will never be any hope of diplomatic relations with them, even if they did manage to overcome the Islamo-Fascist threat to their becoming a free country.
4. To the rest of the world: America is no longer a “super power”. She’s just a bloated, coward of a nation who can’t stand by her convictions. Never trust in America for any assistance. She won’t be there for you in any meaningful way. This should make the Michael Moore liberals of this country very happy. They have wanted to see America be put down a notch or two for quite some time.
Of course further studies on the situation on Iraq are forthcoming from the Pentagon, State Department and The National Security Council. Hopefully those panels won’t be comprised of the hand wringing, cut and run cowards that this panel was comprised of.
The very idea of going to Iran and Syria, both bastions of support for Islamo-fascist terrorists, is ludicrous. Why should they try and help the “Great Satan’s” cause? They wouldn’t, which is something that the “appeasement” Democrats don’t seem to get. But they surely would, rather quickly, if they were given the power to try this nonsensical approach. There is no way that the Islamo-Fascists will tolerate a free Iraq. Their goal is the antithesis of freedom: bondage to their Fascist form of Islam.
It is my prayer that Bush will do the right thing with this panel’s recommendation and just reply with “thanks but no thanks”.
Any chance of defeating the terrorists hangs on what we do with Iraq. If we botch Iraq up, there will be no peace in the Middle East.
