If We Could Just Capture Osama Then, All Would Be Well!

I was watching a little bit of Fox News today during lunch. There was a panel of people assembled to respond to different issues. They played some portion of a speech President Bush had made in Florida regarding the seriousness of the war against terrorists that we are engaged in. Bush had pointed out that it was the Democrats who were standing in the way of our ability to wiretap and listen in to phone conversations between al Qaeda operatives, as well as standing against any benefits we might gain from interrogating the blood thirsty vermin that we did catch.

After the clip the panel was asked for their opinion. The first guy expressed his delight that Bush was taking the battle to them vice waiting for the terrorists to bring it here to our city streets. The second panelist chimed in with the fact that we haven't had any more incidents here in America since 9/11. Next came the self proclaimed "Young Democrat" and guess what she had to say? Her point was that because we haven't yet captured Osama Bin Laden, the voters would take note of that and vote accordingly.

You see? The Democrats when pushed into showing us their "war face", their concern for our national security try and boil it all down to capturing Osama bin Laden, as if that would bring an end to all terrorist activities and mission of war against us by the myriad of Islamo-Fascist thugs in the Middle East.

Would it be nice to capture Osama? Of course it would. But I don't think the voting public is quite as naïve is that “Young Democrat” thinks we are. Of course, she was just pushing the typical Democrat talking point that they have formulated whenever a response is asked of them regarding the importance of this war we are in and our need to persevere is brought up. It seems that for the Democrats the only goal they have is to capture Osama bin Laden, pull out of the Middle East, and it will all just go away.

While, I wish it was as simple as the naïve Democrat solution, it unfortunately isn’t. The hatred for the US and Western Civilization isn’t only coming from Osama and his al Qaeda band of thugs. It permeates throughout the Middle East and even in some mosques in the UK. Capturing Osama will not bring and end to the terrorist threat that those blood thirsty vermin who want to conquer the world by sword and force us to forfeit our liberty and bow to their twisted version of Islam.

This election, and every other election for the unforeseeable future, rests upon two choices. Do we teach those Islamo-Fascist thugs a lesson in what it means to attack the home of the brave and free, or do we take the fairytale solution of the Democrats and reap more violence right here at home?

At least President Bush was smart enough to take the fight to those bloodthirsty demon-possessed thugs on to their own turf. It is noteworthy that not one single terrorists attack has occurred on our soil since 9/11.

A vote for the Democrats and their solution will only serve to justify Osama bin Laden’s charge that America is just a paper tiger and will cut and run at the first sign of difficulty. They will see America as weak and therefore easy, low hanging fruit. Are you sure you want to give the Democrats the chance to do that to our country?

I’m positive that I don’t.

The strongest reason that I will never vote for the Democrat party is because I am highly concerned for our National Security. The Democrat Party’s liberal flirtations with socialism (communism in the extreme left), takes second seat to my concern for the preservation of our freedoms and our ability to walk around in our cities free from terrorist violence.

The Democrats have only one touted stance on the war against the Islamo-Fascist terrorists that we are engaged in: capture Osama and cut and run from the Middle East (read re-deploy our troops from Iraq).

Sorry that’s just not enough!
