20 Requirements To Be A Good Democrat Today
This is another posting where I have no idea who the actual author is, but is very much right on the money as to the truth it portrays about the liberal viewpoint.

THIS IS NOT SO HARD -- EVEN A CAVE MAN CAN DO IT....
1. You have to be against Capital Punishment, but support Abortion on demand.
2. You have to believe that Businesses create oppression and Governments create prosperity.
3. You have to believe that Guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are a bigger threat than U.S. Nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean communists.
4. You have to believe that there was no Art before Federal funding.
5. You have to believe that Global Temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented changes in the Earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV's.
6. You have to believe that Gender roles are artificial but being Homosexual is natural.
7. You have to believe that Al Gore is actually an Expert on the Global Climate and he really did invent the Internet.
8. You have to believe that Hunters don't care about Nature, but loony activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.
9. You have to believe that Self-Esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
10. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.
11. You have to believe that Taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.
12. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, and A.G. Bell.
13. You have to believe that Standardized Tests are racist, but Racial Quotas and set-asides are not.
14. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is actually normal and is a very nice person.
15. You have to believe that the only reason Socialism hasn't worked anywhere else is because the right people haven't been in charge.
16. You have to believe Conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.
17. You have to believe that Homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites, and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.
18. You have to believe that illegal Democrat Party funding by the Chinese Government is somehow in the best interest to the United States .
19. You have to believe that this Message is a part of a vast, right wing conspiracy.
20. You have to believe that it's okay to give Federal workers the day off on Christmas Day but it's not okay to say "Merry Christmas."

being kinda young, i don't know a lot about all of this, but i want to make a few comments:
1-this argument could be turned around: support capital punishment but not abortion? for me, capital punishment is just a moral issue. i don't find it right to take a life. abortion could be okay in cases of rape or other such events.
3-a person with a handgun in their home isn't as bad as a person with an AK 47 in their home.
5-okay, maybe some of the changes are from the earth, but we're certainly not helping. either way, the fumes from SUVs clog up the air and damage the environment.
6-i find nothing wrong with people of different sexual preferences. what you do in your bedroom is your business, whether you're a man or a woman, or something in between.
7-i at least give Gore credit for speaking up about the problem. he's really on to something. and i don't think we want to get into the internet thing again....
14-...yeah... I'm an Obama guy. Hillary is kind of a loony.
16-again, just a matter of perspective. yeah, we all know what Clinton did, but we liberals could just as easily call Bush a liar.
17-again with homosexuality: i don't care what people do. as for manger stuff, you have the right to do that stuff, but not to force christmas on anyone.

So, you are against capital punishment for violent criminals, but the unborn is Ok in certain circumstances?

Sorry, but this is ludicrous. The person with the handgun and the person with the AK 47 both have the ability to kill you. Is the person killed by the AK 47 more dead than the person killed by the handgun?

What problem? Al Gore's theory of Global Warming has not proven to be accurate yet within the scientific community. Therefore, it a bit early to thank him for speaking up.

And erroneously calling Bush a liar exonerates Clinton how?

i think that if you can save a life, you should. if the birth poses a fatal risk to the mother, then we should save the born before the unborn.

i just mean that if someone wants to have a handgun in their home to protect his family, or a rifle to go hunting, they can. but a military-grade weapon is kind of overkill.

as i said in #5, humans aren't exactly helping the world. Gore showed us that we at least need to think about the environment.

I'm in no way protecting clinton for what he did. i was focusing more on the "Conservatives telling the truth" part. we all know that clinton lied, but i was just saying that, as a liberal, we can say Bush lied, too, rendering your point moot. it's all perspective.

How can you say Bush lied with any crediblity? You aren't refering to the liberal mantra: "Bush Lied, Troops Died" are you? Becuase if you are, then you are being disengenous. I am not a Bush synchophant, but come on....
